Hassan Hamza, P.E., President and Founder
An engineer read a newspaper article and could not put it down.
The Ritz Herald published a founder interview in 2020. It reports that Hamza was a senior project engineer before Vacless and worked for “elite companies... such as Boeing, amongst many others.”
“One morning while reading the newspaper and watching my two youngest children playing in the jacuzzi; I came across an article about Virginia Graham Baker. My heart stopped. I looked at my children and thought, that could be one of them. I couldn’t sit with myself knowing I could do something. When I decided to become an engineer, I knew my purpose was to fix problems or at least try my best.”
On residential pools he told the same interview: “Ultimately, pool safety is the property owners responsibility; we just need to do our part to educate them.” The federal act that the article refers to is the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act, and the history of the Act has its own page.
